Saincrit 2.0

AOC Bordeaux Supérieur
It was at the end of the 19th century that a miller named Vincent Saincrit, decided to replant vines on the hillside of Montalon, near St André de Cubzac. Indeed, between 1860 and 1880, an epidemic of phylloxera destroyed the previous vines. His passion for the profession of wine grower allowed him to develop his vineyard which has crossed the generations.
In 2003, Florence Prud’homme, a native of the region, took over the estate to propose wines in AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, a range from fresh and young wines to complex and rich wines, all reflecting the characteristics of the terroir of Saint André de Cubzac.
Between Blaye, Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion, the property is located on the 45th parallel, an imaginary line that shares the northern hemisphere in two equal parts and gives to Château Saincrit a feeling of perfect balance.
TERROIR
Château Saincrit extends on a hillside with a panoramic view of the surrounding plains and the meanders of the Dordogne River, 20 hectares of clay-limestone and sandy soil with outcropping rocks. The vineyard is planted with several grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sémillon, all very representative of the AOC Bordeaux Supérieur.
